Here we have some fearless park exploration with our buds
We interrupt our previously scheduled programming for a little 4-year throwback:
Science experiment: which writing utensils are lighter than water?
Reading practice "Mad-Libs"
After parent conferences: On the playground of Peter's school
Busted: Found reading my Bible to Baby Da
Now this is a pretty cool trick. Peter makes a giant bubble with bath soap and arms/torso
In other tricks, the warm air this month has brought out the climber in this boy.
My favorite valentine toy that came home from preschool: faux mustaches! Thanks, Gabriella!
Another fine day: After school picnic at the pond.
Buckets. In case we need to collect something, of course.
The filters are my attempt to do something interesting with the drab February backdrop that doesn't seem to belong to our spring picnic.
Thanks, passerby lady. Looks like naptime for the big kids.
One more bit about that climbing thing.
To my chagrin, we don't have a lot of climbing trees around. But this big pine borders a nearby playground. Peter wanted to take it on, and I was so glad for his determination and perseverance that I cheered him on with little caution.
I love these.
I congratulated him and went to help Anna with something. A minute later, I looked back and gawked:
In the end, I stood here at the bottom and talked him down, ready to catch a falling giant boy if need be. While grinning the whole time.
