Test 2: Starting Our Blog

Just under a week from our due date, seems about time to start a family blog. It's going to be pretty simple here for a while, but at least it's a spot for us to start posting for our limited audience updates, pictures, and (coming soon!) video clips of that most interesting subject, The Boy.

Not much to report right now, except that he's squirming a lot as I type, waving his foot at you. I tried to capture it (literally) here:

The doctor we saw yesterday said that I'm holding firm at 50% effaced (no pun intended) and one cm dilated, but that it could be today (or 2 weeks from now).  "Pack your bag," he said.  And it's packed. Full of odd Bradley items like a sock full of rice, and another with 2 tennis balls, honey, our little speaker set for soothing music, and a bunch of other things I never would have thought to bring. Baby clothes? Check. Parent clothes? Check. Nursing [stuff]? Check. And Tom's old blue terrycloth bathrobe that takes up half the bag.

So that's the news here today. Not a very riveting start to our blog, but we'll be posting more in days to come.
