2nd Half of October

Sorry for the lag. Here's what I've got for the rest of October.

My fearless fighters defending against the bad guys perpetually coming down the stairs.

Gourds. Anna's Fall obsession.

Stuck.

Busted: Tomato thief

An errand-running treat, enjoying one of the last warm days.

Our late-October tradition: Fried Green Tomatoes

YUM.

A mystery visitor in our kitchen

Peter and Daddy went one Saturday to the B&O Railroad museum in Baltimore.

Needless to say, it was a hit.

The Martin Family, October 2015

Peter wasn't sure what to make of this fellow.

Being goofy together.

But seriously.

Pre-School Field Trip

Continuing October...

Our first-ever school field trip!
We met up at Sharp's Farm. Here they are raring to go.

First was greeting the residents

Bumping along on the hay-ride, through corn fields and creeks.

Peter and Elias

Picnic with the friends

Singing Time

Hanging around afterward for a few more visits.

First Half of October

October. Here's what we were looking like in October 2015.

Things like this happened.

We have our first family-of-4 trip to the Original Pancake House

There's a special spot in our hearts for this place. Most significantly, because this was the 5 year anniversary of our Wedding Rehearsal Day Brunch, in which our respective families first met and shared a meal. And now we do again, along with a couple little fruits of our union.

Bath time with my Treasure Troll

Some sofa selfies, each kid getting a turn to push the button.
Turns out, according to the date stamp, these were taken on my 35th b'day.

And these little gems, too. Happy Birthday to me.

(For reference, here Peter is just over 3; Anna is 16 months)

Playground after pre-school. First, some emotive shots...

Then some hanging with classmate, neighbor, and utero friend Cammie.

Different day, different playground, same sweet kiddos

And here's trying my best to snap the perfect fall portrait one day after pre-school.
Nothing perfect. Of course. But here's the best of real:
