Anna and her Brother

Lovin my big brother

"My nose--good one! Ha ha ha!"

But I'm not sure I entirely trust him not to drop me...

He keeps me company during my tummy exercises...

...and is MOST attentive when I'm learning a new skill.

Trip to the Big O

Peter, Anna, and I got to go down to Orange for a few days for some visiting and adventuring, for a breath of fresh air. Her first time in Orange, Anna was welcomed with some special Grandaddy snuggles.

Love these sweet shots of my dad with our Anna Frances

Sadly, we didn't get to see Oma this trip.
But Peter got to wander around out back, a real treat after a long car ride.

We also spent time at Nana and Daideo's. Though it had been a while, Peter picked up tractoring again just like riding a bike.

Hangout time with Pop-Pop!

At Yoders we visited the goats again, and a fine treehouse.

Anna had a blast.

We brought greetings and carrots to the Montpelier horses...

[Throwback to 15 months ago]

Annagirl slept through most of the exciting photo-ops (not that I minded in the moment), but here's a shot of her sweet face that I sent to her lonely Daddy back in Gaithersburg:

And just before we left, Peter and I went on a little Mama/son nature walk with the Radio Flyer.
We collected hickory nuts and acorns, interesting bark, rocks, and leaves in every color.
Hello, Fall.

We also made a new friend.

As always, the trip flew by. We missed Daddy, and getting us all down there was, predictably, a bit of an ordeal. But it was a worth it to break out of the routine and spend time with those we love. Till next time, Orange!

Growing Kids Update

Not sure who's growing faster, my little Daddy's Girl...

...or her silly rambunctious brother

Some snapshots of late:

We've been liking the play-doh (thanks, Grandma!)

Here's Leu presiding over the tummy time...and Anna in a much happier moment.

PB&J face. And sometimes Peter opts to eat with his eyes closed.

And poring over a new favorite book (thanks, Wilcoxes!!)
