First Pics of our Girl!

Here she is--our little lovely!

This was one of our first sights of her, hunchback style. (Torso to the left, head to the right.) She was curled up in a tight ball, a difficult position for measurements; made things interesting. Below, 147 beautiful beats per minute.

One FINE ear. With a shoulder and upper arm to the west/southwest.

Tracking Bigfoot.

Both feet, on the end of legs straight and ankles crossed.

What you're looking at here is the outline of her head (left), back (center), and right arm (top).

Nose and mouth, straight on.

Doubled over, feet over her head, knees in her face.

Tiny forearm and finger bones waving "Bye-bye!"

Boy at Play

Final round of catch-up here. Or maybe I'll post some Christmas pics at some point too.
For posterity and distant family (which is pretty much all of you), here's our boy with some favorite play things, old and new.

The blue horse is finally getting some use, though perhaps not commensurate with it's prominent and central station in our dining room. In other news, Peter is loving the legos these days.

The collapsible (thank God) tent and tunnels in our living room; Peter waxes eloquent about them.

The fort.

Everything works better when you're wearing a fire chief's hat.

The rice! Messy but fun. But messy. Especially if you have a boy. The sort who also likes to bite walls.

First Snow!

...at least that he got to play in. There's a bunch of new snow out there now, but this is still catch-up from last month. Here he is all ready to go:

First contact

Interesting stuff

Venturing out where the big boys had been sledding and snowman-building. Finally got some mittens on!

Overall, Peter was intrigued but quite frustrated trying to walk around in the snow. He liked touching and eating it, but only until his little hands got cold.
